Life in Much Wenlock
Much Wenlock is a highly desirable locality. There is immense charm and character to the town with its many beautiful period buildings and historic references adding to the appeal. Surrounded by the glorious Shropshire countryside, Much Wenlock deserves its title the second most sought after locality to reside in within the country, as polled by the Daily Mail. The town also featured in the top ten list of small towns and villages compiled by Savills and Times on line.
Most day to day needs are catered for by the local shops in Much Wenlock, which include The Spar and an excellent, traditional family Butcher. There is also the Much Wenlock Primary School and the sought after William Brookes Secondary School. The area is well served by a post office, library, leisure centre, doctors, chemist and vets. Regular buses run between Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury, and there are some delightful pubs and restaurants both in the town and dotted around the surrounding countryside.
